Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Kitchen & Cafe Assistant to help prepare our range of freshly made sandwiches and support the smooth running of our cafe. The role involves working in the kitchen to create high-quality sandwiches, ensuring that food hygiene standards are met, and confidently using the cafe’s coffee machine to prepare hot beverages. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh sandwiches to order

  • Assist with general kitchen duties, including prepping ingredients and maintaining stock

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in the kitchen at all times

  • Confidently operate the cafe’s coffee machine, preparing hot drinks

  • Maintain stock levels for sandwich ingredients and communicate with the team for orders

  • Support with front-of-house duties, including serving customers and handling payments

  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to the highest standard

  • Help with general cleaning and maintaining café equipment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or cafe environment (preferred)

  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (training provided)

  • Confidence in using a coffee machine and preparing high-quality hot drinks

  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic attitude
